For both your protection and ours. Email is one of the least secure ways to send documents. Messages in the portal also let us get back to you faster, since anyone at our company can respond and assist you.
Just like a mechanic has to look under the hood, your prior returns are the only way to properly quote the correct tax returns and make sure your taxes are done correctly. It gets you specific tax advice for your situation instead of generic advice.
It depends. When first starting your company… absolutely NOT. S Corps come with a lot of admin costs: a separate 1120S return, payroll, and a bookkeeper. We always recommend electing when you’re making $100k in profit. NOT revenue… but profit.
Well… it does not. LLCs are about liability, not taxes. An LLC separates your personal and professional liability.
Not in the beginning. If it’s a side hustle, don’t get QuickBooks. If you’re going full time working for yourself (a nice round ballpark number is $10k in sales), open a QuickBooks account. Hire a bookkeeper once your business becomes a main source of income.
